Introduction

For presentations in Sections, Minisymposia, Young Researchers’ Minisymposia, DFG PP and Pre-GAMM Zoom is used. Large sessions like the Public Lectures are hosted in Cisco Webex. In our Conference Tool, you will be automatically redirected to the virtual rooms by clicking on the links provided. This might cause the download of an executable file, which should be permitted. After executing the downloaded file, you will join the desired room. It is not needed to download both softwares in advance, but it might be more convenient and improve your user experience. Please follow the Guidelines for Presenters & Chairs.

Conference Tool and Interactive Schedule

The Conference Tool provides all abstracts, enables access to supplementary material, allows to browse the conference agenda and to perform searches. The Interactive Schedule gives a compact overview of the conference and allows you to quickly join events. For access, you need to be logged in. The credentials correspond to your username and password used in ConfTool.

Recording Videos

We understand that for many participants, this might be the first online conference or even the first conference at all. Recording a video of your presentation in advance might make it easier in this new environment. A handy tool for recording these videos is Record Slide Show in PowerPoint. The video created can then be played by you in the session you participate based on Share Screen, which is explained below. If desired, you can upload your video in ConfTool to make it available as .mp4 to others. However, the limit of file size is 200 Mb. For video compression HandBrake could be used with the "Fast 720p30" preset.
